BACKGROUND: The concept of this Center was inspired a belief that innovations in information technology deployed in an open, pre-competitive environment could markedly accelerate the solving of important problems in drug discovery and development. Subscribing to this belief, Eli Lilly is sponsoring the creation of such a Center. Under the working title “Open Innovation Center”, the Center will be based in Cambridge amidst world-class centers of information technology innovation, and is targeted for launch in mid-2009.
We hope you can join the Advisory Board for this excellent opportunity to engage with Susie Stephens as she shapes the Center's emerging mission and goals, and to broaden your relationships with fellow executives and CIOs from the life sciences industry in the region.
